Taxi Cab Carjacked At Gunpoint In Norwalk: Police

Detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect.

NORWALK, CT — Norwalk police detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect in a recent armed carjacking in the city, according to authorities.

The incident occurred at about 9 p.m. on June 19 in the area of Ward Street and Random Road. An EverReady taxi cab was hijacked by a passenger who was armed with a handgun, police said.

"The suspect was described as a black male 5'9" weighing 200lbs, approximately 50-years old, wearing a black short sleeved shirt with a 'Batman' symbol, blue jeans, a black baseball cap, and black shoes," police said in statement.
