United Church of Rowayton Wildman Scholarship Winners

Three local high school graduates were named winners of the annual Jonathan Peter Wildman Scholarship program by the United Church of Rowayton.
The winners are Sebastian Cunningham, Madison Froelich and Charlotte Stansbury. Their achievement was announced at a recent Sunday worship service by Pastor John Livingston.

The scholarship fund was established by Kathy and Peter Wildman after the death of their infant son Jonathan in 1997.
Says Pastor Livingston, “Kathy and Peter believe strongly in the young people of the church.

“The scholarship program reflects the dreams they would have had for Jonathan: for his activity in church and community affairs and his pursuit of further education.”
The winners will use their scholarship to help fund the college they have chosen.
Sebastian Cunningham will attend Lasell College in Boston, majoring in communications. Madison Froelich will attend the University of Vermont with a major in English. Charlotte Stansbury will attend the University of New Hampshire.
To be considered for a scholarship, a student must be a high school graduate, a member of the United Church of Rowayton and be a participant in the church and the community.
He or she must be planning to continue a formal education.
In addition, the student must submit an essay giving his/her qualifications and educational plans and a letter of recommendation from a teacher or guidance counselor.
