Video: Three Compete to Lead Norwalk Symphony

The Norwalk Symphony Orchestra held auditions for three finalists in their search for a new musical director. Here's what they look like.

Local residents gathered at 's Concert Hall on July 25 to hear the Norwalk Symphony Orchestra's next conductor perform. Three finalists in the each gave a musical "interview," leading movements from Beethoven’s Overture to Fidelio.

The audience and orchestra members were invited to fill out a form, ranking the finalists, Jonathan Yates of Chicago, Chris Hisey of Fairfield, and Tara Simoncic of California. Each player had a total of one hour to work with the orchestra and perform the musical selection.

Emil Albanese, president of the Symphony's board of directors, said they plan to fill the position by the end of the week.
