What Are the Odds Your Child Is Being Bullied in CT? This Report Will Tell You

With schools about to start, a new report by WalletHub breaks down the numbers as it pertains to bullying throughout the nation.

Bullying remains a problem in the United States and in Connecticut, but the state's rankings according to a new report from the personal finance website WalletHub place Connecticut better than average in the U.S.

According to the report, entitled "2016’s States with the Biggest Bullying Problems," Connecticut is ranked 39th overall in Bullying Prevalence and Prevention. Michigan was ranked first overall, Louisiana, West Virginia, Montana and Arkansas.

"Bullying takes many forms, ranging from the seemingly innocuous name-calling to the more harmful cyberbullying to severe physical violence," writes Richie Bernardo, the report's author. "It happens everywhere, at all times to the most vulnerable of kids, especially those who are obese, gay or have a disability."
