Woman Found Floating In Norwalk River, Fire Officials Say
The victim was found floating in the river.
Fire Department members responded to a report of a person floating in the Norwalk River on Sunday.
Norwalk 911 received a call from a person on Commerce Street who reported they saw someone floating in the river.

Emergency responders were able to contact the caller, who stated they saw the person on the other side of the river near the rocks floating with the current, fire union officials said.
Firefighters made their way behind #9 Wall Street, where they saw a woman floating in the water. Two firefighters in cold water suits entered and were able to successfully grab the victim and bring her to shore.

Firefighters were able to remove her from the water up the rock covered embankment into a Stokes basket, officials said.
At this point she was carried to a waiting stretcher and transferred over to EMS. At this time, the patient has been admitted to Norwalk Hospital. Her current condition is unknown.
