Several New London County Businesses Robbed At Gunpoint: Police
Police in several New London County towns are investigating armed robberies from late Friday.

NEW LONDON COUNTY, CT — State police and local law enforcement in several New London County towns are searching for a man who is suspected of robbing several businesses at gunpoint Friday night, according to media reports.
Robberies were reported in Franklin, Norwich, Groton, Stonington, Montville, Ledyard, and Norwich, according to NBC CT. Among the reported robberies are: Sam's Gas Station on Washington Street in Norwich and a gas station on Rt. 32 in Franklin.
WFSB 3 TV reported that Price Cutter Vape and Smoke Shop in Waterford was robbed, and in Ledyard the Pumpkin Hill Marketplace was also robbed.

Waterford police said in a news release that at 8:10 p.m. Friday, they responded to a report of a robbery at Price Cutter Vape and Smoke Shop at 26 Norwich Road. During the robbery, a Black man with tattoos on at least one hand entered and displayed a black firearm to the clerk, police said.
The suspect was wearing a black winter hat, tan baklava style facemask, black long leave jacket, grey sweatpants and black sneakers, police said. He fled on foot to a waiting vehicle. The clerk was not injured.

Ledyard police said at 9:08 p.m. Friday they responded to a robbery at the Pumpkin Hill Marketplace at 126 Gallup Hill Road. Store personnel reported that a lone male, described as Black or Hispanic, robbed the store at gunpoint, ran across the street to a getaway car, and drove off in an unknown direction of travel, police said in a news release.
"Preliminary details from video surveillance revealed that the suspect was wearing a black hoodie and grey pants. This description is consistent with several other robberies occurring in the Southeastern Connecticut area this evening," Ledyard police said in a statement.
