(Kunstraum) Dada Post was an artist-run organization, founded in January 2008, by Howard McCalebb in Berlin, Germany. In 2022 Mr. McCalebb moved to Norwich, Connecticut, and establish the art gallery Dada Post USA. Mr. McCalebb is a sculptor and active figure on the international art scene. Dada Post USA is an autonomous space for the production, display and discussion of current art. Foremost, we contemplate artistic expression from the standpoint of pure inspiration emanating from the source – the artist. We are keenly interested in the effects of Globalization on art practice, and the notion of a hybridized Post Modern art practice. As a contemporary art space, Dada Post USA is primarily concerned with artwork that is the most current, reflecting the actual meaning of the term: Contemporary Art. We offer a program of exhibitions and events, featuring videos, poetry/literary readings, music and other live performances, during and between art exhibitions. The original inspiration for both (Kunstraum) Dada Post and Dada Post USA was the Cabaret Voltaire in Zürich, Switzerland and Andy Warhol’s Factory in New York City – which were open venues for impromptu gatherings, events, and artistic experimentation. NORWICH, CT — The Norwich community is coping with the devastating loss of a 7-year-old girl who was killed in a house fire on Tuesday. According to <a href="https://www.wfsb.com/2024/10/16/7-year-old-girl-killed-norwich-fire/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">WFSB Channel 3</a>, the fire happened on Summit Street, with calls reporting the blaze flooding the local 911 dispatcher's office at about 5:25 p.m. Tuesday. <a href="https://www.nbcconnecticut.com/news/local/7-year-old-girl-in-critical-condition-after-being-pulled-from-fire-in-norwich/3410211/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">WVIT Channel 30</a> reported that when firefighters entered the home, they found the girl on the second floor. After being rushed to The William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, the girl — who has yet to be identified — was pronounced dead, WVIT reported.
