Popular Brewery Closing After 9 Years, Last Call This Weekend In Norwich

The owners say they are "filled with gratitude" as the craft beer and taproom prepares to close.

NORWICH, CT — A Norwich brewery will serve its final pints this weekend, then close its doors after nine years in business.

Epicure Brewing at 40 Franklin St. started with "a simple dream: to create great beer, bring people together, and become a part of the fabric of this incredible community," according to a Facebook post from the establishment.

"Over the past nine years, we've shared countless pints, celebrations, milestones, friendships, laughter, and memories," the post reads. "We've watched first dates turn into marriages, welcomed new faces who became regulars, and built relationships that extended far beyond the walls of our brewery. Epicure Brewing was never just about beer—it was about community, connection, and the people who made this place feel like home."

The owners say they are "filled with gratitude for every person who walked through our doors, attended an event, supported a release, brought friends, shared a recommendation, or simply chose to spend an evening with us."

The menu includes light beers, sour beers, hoppy IPAs, hard seltzers, hard ciders, wine, and more.

The craft brewery and taproom was known for its BYOF/MYAH (bring your own food, make yourself at home) approach to welcoming customers.

The spot has a 4.7-star average on 184 Google reviews.

Epicure Brewing will operate standard hours for the final time this weekend: Saturday from noon to 9 p.m. and Sunday noon to 6 p.m.

Earlier this month, a New Britain brewery announced it would be closing as well.
