NORWICH, CT — One person was killed and another was injured in a shooting, Norwich police said.
At 11:55 a.m. Friday, Norwich Police Dispatch received several 911 calls regarding a disturbance that involved gunfire.
Patrol officers encountered a vehicle that was suspected of being involved on Maennnerchor Avenue, police said.
Within the vehicle, officers located two adult subjects suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.
One of the subjects suffered a fatal gunshot wound while the other is being treated at an area hospital, police said.
Norwich Police Department said there is no ongoing public safety threat.
