America’s 250th Birthday Walktober Celebration with the Calkins Family Association
Saturday Sept. 26, 2026. 10:00 Guided history tour up West Town St. Meet at Ace Hardware, 146 West Town St. Stopping at various homesteads where our ancestors once lived, we’ll end at the Hugh Calkins History Center about noon for lunch. Afterward there is the dedication of new signage and a park bench, and the planting of an Elm Tree in honor of our patriot ancestors. Rounding out the afternoon will be brief presentations on a variety of Revolutionary War Patriots. FREE! RSVP so we know how many to cook for. news@calkinsworld.org .
