Man Charged With Trying To Steal Car, Assaulting Victim In Norwich
A man was arrested early Monday on accusations that he assaulted a man and tried to steal his car, according to a report.
NORWICH, CT — A man is facing charges that he assaulted a victim and attempted to steal his car, according to The Day. Police found that Efrain Andujar, 35, struck the victim in the head with a blunt object, attempted to steal his car, and stole his cell phone and smashed it.
The crime occurred in the area of 275 Washington St. and Andujar was arrested at 2:36 a.m. Monday.
He was charged with second-degree assault, assault of a public safety/emergency medical personnel, failure to submit to fingerprints, second-degree breach of peace, first-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny, third-degree criminal mischief, and criminal attempt of third-degree larceny.
