Man Faces Charges That He Threatened To 'Terrorize Norwich': Police

NORWICH, CT — A man is facing numerous charges following a shots-fired call and a threatening phone call, according to a police statement. Police responded to a Boswell Avenue address for a report of shots-fired Saturday at 6:02 p.m. and found that a vehicle had been shot multiple times.

The vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the shooting and no one was injured, according to police.

Police said it's believed that this was a domestic incident and a targeted attack against the victim.

An arrest warrant has been issued for David Holland Jr., 32, of Norwich, for unlawful possession of a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm, second-degree reckless endangerment, and criminal mischief. His bond will be set at $750,000.

Holland has an additional warrant out for his arrest for second-degree threatening. Police said he made threats while on the phone with police stating he would terrorize the town.

Holland spoke with Norwich detectives numerous times and said he would turn himself in Tuesday by 2 p.m. but failed to do so.

Police said Holland is to be considered armed and dangerous.
