Norwich PD Warns Residents About Vehicle Burglaries

NORWICH, CT — The Norwich Police Department is urging residents to lock and secure their vehicles, especially during the overnight hours.

"Please do not leave valuables within your vehicle as we are seeing an increase in vehicle burglaries," officials wrote on the department's Facebook page. The department's phone number is 860-886-5561. "If you feel that you have been the victim of an overnight vehicle burglary, please remember to preserve any evidence by not touching something that the suspect may have handled."

Report any suspicious activity or people "who may be in your neighborhoods, especially during the overnight hours."
