Norwich Teen, 16, Dies in Fatal Accident in Rhode Island: Report

Grace Hanlon, 16, of Norwich died in a motor vehicle accident in Richmond, Rhode Island on Thursday afternoon, NBC Connecticut reports.

Grace was a passenger in a vehicle driven by her father, Paul Hanlon, 50, when they were hit head-on by another vehicle on Route 183, NBC Connecticut reports.

Grace and her father had to be extricated and she was pronounced dead at the hospital while her father remains hospitalized.

Two other vehicles were involved in the accident and no one else was injured.

WPRI 12 in Rhode Island reports that Paul Hanlon was traveling westbound when a Chevrolet Impala crossed over from the opposite side of the road and hit their Jeep Wrangler head-on, which led to the Jeep rolling over and striking a utility pole.
