Police Seek Man Accused In Multiple Norwich Bank Robberies: Reports
Police are searching for a suspect implicated in a string of bank robberies this month.
NORWICH, CT — Police are searching for a man accused of robbing four Norwich banks, according to WTNH News-8. The Liberty Bank at the Salem Turnpike was robbed just before 3 p.m. Tuesday.
The suspect went inside, demanded money, and left with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police said the suspect did not show a weapon.
The man is also accused of robbing the Coreplus Federal Credit Union on Salem Turnpike on Tuesday afternoon. He allegedly took $500, NBC CT reported. No weapon was displayed in the robbery.

Police believe the same suspect is behind two bank robberies in Norwich last week. The Chelsea Groton Bank on West Main Street and the Dime Bank on Norwich Avenue were robbed Aug. 7, according to WTNH News-8.
The suspect is not believed to be a threat to the public.
