NORWICH, CT — The Connecticut Office of the Inspector General has issued a report on a man who died in Norwich police custody earlier this month, WTNH News-8 reported. Brenton Chambers died due to a fatal seizure while in his cell Feb. 4.

The state report found that Chambers likely ingested fentanyl earlier that day and wore clothing with several concealed pockets allowing him to ingest the drugs while in police custody.
