Batteries Plus 'Charges' into Orange

Orange welcomed a new store, Batteries Plus, on Monday, June 18.  The first selectman of Orange, James Zeoli, and the Orange Chamber of Commerce were there for the official Ribbon Cutting at 481 Boston Post Road with Ed Cowern, owner and Joe Cowern, store manager. 

The store features the most complete line of batteries as well as light bulbs available under one roof.  They will stock a broad assortment of batteries in all of the major application categories: Cell/Smart phone, cordless phone, 2-way radio, laptop, camcorder, digital camera, photo, medical, emergency lighting and power back-up.  

You'll find batteries for wheel chair, scooter, marine, auto and truck, motorcycle, personal watercraft, snowmobile and ATV.  They also have alarm system, i-Pod® /MP3 player, rechargeable, alkaline and heavy duty batteries.

Besides batteries the store will carry light bulbs of all kinds: incandescent, LED, HID, CFL, fluorescent, appliance, AV/Photo, car/truck, motorcycle, plant grow, metal halide, projector, halogen and more.

Another feature of Batteries Plus is a Tech Center where batteries are tested and analyzed.  They’ll be able to rebuild most battery packs or replace batteries inside items like, roomba vacs, and cordless tools.  They can even design and build custom batteries.

The staff if ready to support businesses operations with available inventories, drop ship and design capabilities.

The store will be open Monday through Friday 8am to 7pm, Saturday 8am to 5pm and Sunday 11am to 5pm.
