Best Buy is Open

Structural engineers, town building inspector give store a thumbs up.

The Best Buy Store re-opened to the public on Sunday night.

The store was shut down after quite a scare on Saturday when the excessive snow caused signs of stress and leaking, forcing management to evacuate all employees and customers shortly after 6 p.m.

A team of three structural engineers from New York checked out the Best Buy Store on Sunday and deemed the building safe and sound.

Town Building Inspector Fred Trotta gave a verbal approval for the store to reopen to the public on Sunday at 5 p.m.
