Duck Donuts On Track To Open 1st CT Location In Orange

The franchise, which has more than 100 locations, will open its first location in Connecticut this spring.

ORANGE, CT — Duck Donuts is still on track to open an Orange location, the franchise's first in Connecticut.

The 350 Boston Post Road store is scheduled to open in March, according to the Duck Donuts website.

The store's hours will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

Duck Donuts' origins are in North Carolina's Outer Banks. The first shop opened in 2007, and now Duck Donuts has more than 100 locations around the country. Currently the nearest location to Connecticut is in White Plains, NY.

The shop specializes in fresh, hot donuts with a dizzying array of made-to-order toppings. This includes flavors like "Bacon in the Sun," "Beach Ball," "Blueberry Lemonade," and "Blueberry Pancake."

Duck Donuts also carries a line of adorable rubber duckies at many of its shops that your kids will no doubt beg you to buy.

The store will open at 350 Boston Post Road in a plaza that includes Wasabi Sushi, the Smoothie King, and Retro Games Plus.
