Orange Business Giving Away Free Chocolate Bunnies After PEZ Easter Egg Hunt Cancelled

The annual Easter Egg Hunt was cancelled after some parents were pushing and shoving trying find the hidden eggs.

ORANGE, CT - In light of the PEZ Easter Egg Hunt that was prematurely cancelled over the weekend, and the many children that walked away disappointed, Colonial Properties, Inc., a residential and commercial real estate brokerage, also located in Orange is offering a free chocolate bunny for kids 12 and under, the company announced Monday.

"We know there were a lot of disappointed kids in Orange on Saturday. We are trying to do what we can to turn an unfortunate situation into a positive experience", said Mike Richetelli, Broker/President of Colonial Properties.

And if you’ve heard by now the annual PEZ Easter Egg Hunt was marred by some parents pushing and shoving one another during the supposed to be fun, family event on Saturday.

Some children ended up being pushed around by adults, and the Easter egg hunt was cancelled. PEZ officials have apologized for what occurred and also expressed frustration with some of the parents who didn’t follow the rules, and instead just stormed the field looking for eggs.

To pick up the chocolate bunnies, parents can bring their children to Colonial's office, located at 200 Boston Post Road, Orange (rear) between the hours of 2:30 and 5:00 pm, on Wednesday, March 30 or Thursday, March 31st. The Easter Bunny will be in attendance to distribute the chocolates and be available for photos.
