ORANGE, CT — Chip's, the popular restaurant chain with locations in Orange, Southbury and Fairfield, is offering curb-side pickup and delivery service for its customers, due to concerns over the new coronavirus (COVID-19).

"The health and safety of our guests and our employees is our highest priority," said George Chatzopoulos, the owner of the restaurant. "We are doing everything we can to support our employees, guests and the communities we serve during this difficult time."

On Monday, Gov. Ned Lamont ordered all bars and restaurants in Connecticut to close due to the virus, and only offer delivery and curb-side pickup service.

Chip's is developing family-style meals for up to six people that will be available for curbside pickup, along with their regular menu items, according to Chatzopoulos.

Personal delivers are also being made available in the communities served to families who are isolated in their homes.

The restaurant chain is also offering to work with local social service agencies in the communities served to assist families that may homebound but are food insecure. The restaurant has a long history of helping schools, youth organizations and other not for profits in the community.

"Our guests and employees have become part of our extended family," Chatzopoulos said. “This is a time when we have to come together and help our neighbors. Together, we can and will get through this."
