Orange Resident Receives Second Chance at Life with New Kidney
Nathan Smith hopes to persuade more people to become organ donors.

ORANGE, CT — Nathan Smith, the former owner of the local "Elephant's Trunk" gift business, recently received a kidney transplant, and he's hoping to persuade others to become organ donors.
The 74-year-old Orange resident does not know who donated their kidney, but he knows it was from a 63-year-old man, with similar high blood pressure, who died of a stroke, reports the New Haven Register.
Smith is thankful of receiving the kidney, which gives him a new lease on life. He is now reaching out to other kidney recipients for their help in exposing the benefits of being an organ donor. For more information, email him at elephantstru@hotmail.com.
