• Oxford marks flood recovery progress with reopening of damaged road (nbcconnecticut.com) — Loughlin Road in Oxford has finally reopened after severe 2024 flood damage, with a redesigned embankment meant to better withstand future storms. Town leaders say Oxford has received about $3 million in federal recovery aid so far, including more than $273,000 for guardrail and embankment work, as the community continues rebuilding and honoring two residents lost in the flooding.
