• Tropical Smoothie Cafe Opens New Oxford Location (patch.com) — Residents in Oxford have a new dining option at Quarry Walk, where Tropical Smoothie Cafe has opened on Center Rock Green with smoothies, wraps, bowls, and more. First Selectman George Temple welcomed the cafe as a sign of continued investment in town, noting its online ordering and curbside pickup. The shop joins a growing lineup of restaurants that make Quarry Walk a walkable local destination.    

• Chemicals Bring DEEP To Oxford Fire (patch.com) — Firefighters in Oxford quickly contained a machine fire inside a Willenbrock Road manufacturing plant, using foam because of chemicals in the plating room. DEEP evaluated the scene and gave the all-clear, and mutual aid from nearby departments and Oxford EMS helped limit damage to smoke and one room.
