• Oxford Church Reopens On 60th Anniversary; Pastor Gives Recovery Update (patch.com) — Oxford residents are celebrating the 60th anniversary and reopening of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish after a summer of renovations, highlighted by a special Mass and time capsule opening. Parishioners also received encouraging news that Pastor Father Joshua Wilbur is recovering well from an August liver transplant, though he will need several more months of rest before gradually returning to ministry in town.
• Connecticut high school girls soccer top performances, games to watch (Sept. 14) (ctpost.com) — Oxford girls soccer fans can see their team and standout sophomore Kyla Decrescenzo recognized among Connecticut's top performers after her four-assist game in an 8–0 win over Derby. The roundup also notes multiple matches where Oxford faced strong opponents, and lists several upcoming marquee games elsewhere in the state that could shape tournament races.
