
Jeffrey M. Klauser, M.D. is an orthopaedic surgeon and the newest physician at Connecticut Orthopaedic Specialists, PC. He is opening the Shelton office September 4 and will see patients between 9am-5pm. Appointments call 203 538-0022.
He received his fellowship training in Sports Medicine under the tutelage of world-renowned Orthopaedist, Dr. James Andrews. He will be seeing patients M_F 9am-5pm AND have Saturday hours, 9am-11am during football season for any sports injuries from the night before.
Dr. Klauser’s passion for team sports began at Shelton High School where he was an all-Conference football player. It was during this time he witnessed first-hand the importance of quality medical treatment for young athletes. His love of sports along with his dedication to care for and serve his community is what ultimately led him to pursue his career in the field of sports medicine and return to his hometown.

When surgery is necessary, Dr. Klauser often utilizes minimally invasive, arthroscopic techniques. This approach reduces post-operative recovery time and allows an early return to work and play. Dr. Klauser’s surgical interests include arthroscopic and open treatment of shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, and ankle injuries, as well as general orthopaedics.
Following the completion of his medical residency, Dr. Klauser was selected to become a sports medicine fellow under the tutelage of world-renowned orthopaedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews. While at the Andrews Institute, Dr. Klauser worked side-by-side with Dr. Andrews where he learned advanced techniques to care for the highest level of professional athlete and young amateur athletes alike. His team physician experience included the Toronto Blue Jays, Tampa Bay Rays, Washington Nationals, Auburn University, Pensacola Blue Wahoos, University of West Florida, and multiple high school sports teams, including the Under Armour All-American Team.

A native of Connecticut, Dr. Klauser resides in Shelton with his wife, Rachel, and their daughter, Olivia. His interests include spending time with his family, fishing, and golfing.
