Search Underway For Missing Oxford Man In Naugatuck State Forest

OXFORD, CT — A search is ongoing today in the Naugatuck State Forest for a missing local man who was last seen on Wednesday.

The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection’s Environmental Conservation Police are conducting the search for Justin Kruger, 50, of Oxford.

Officials said they responded to a missing person report around 10:04 p.m. on April 29 in the area of the forest and Oxford Reservoir. Kruger was last seen leaving his home around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Investigators found Kruger’s vehicle in Naugatuck State Forest near the Oxford Reservoir.

Connecticut State Police and the Oxford Fire Department are also assisting in the ongoing search today, and officials have been using K9 search teams.

A silver alert has been issued in an attempt to locate Kruger.

Kruger is white, 6-feet-tall, and 165 pounds, and he has grey hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a grey long sleeve shirt, a grey vest, blue jeans, and white sneakers.
