Oxford Joins Sandy Hook Ride on Washington

Oxford High School junior, Brian Suto, takes part in Sandy Hook Ride on Washington starting on March 9th, 2013.

Starting Saturday, March 9th, Team 26 of the Sandy Hook Ride on Washington will bike 400 miles from Sandy Hook to Washington, DC. The Team is made up of twenty-six cyclists from the area who want to give Newtown a voice. They will reach their destination on Tuesday, March 12th on the steps of the US Capitol where they will be joined by members of Congress.

The rally starts at 8am Saturday morning at Reed Intermediate School in Newtown. Rider #21, Brian Suto, a junior at Oxford High School, is the youngest member of the Team who will be along for the ride.

Many Oxford residents will be attending the rally to support Brian and everyone else taking part in this incredible event. Please join us in supporting these cyclists as they push for action to reduce gun violence.
