Stuffed Animals Not Just for Kids!
"The Home Where The Giant Stuff Animals Live" Do You Have a Favorite?
It is early Wednesday morning (3 days after Irene) and I am driving into the office to take a shower since we have had no power for several days. I am feeling a little blue about the baby pictures that were damaged due to the storm, not really paying attention to the road, I come around the corner and there in plain view is “The Home Where The Giant Stuff Animals Live." You know where I am talking about (corner of Hogsback and Rt 67.
Instantly, I felt better, was happy to be alive and really wanted to stop in and say "Thank you" to whomever lived there: it made my day. I stopped in today and spoke with Ann Marie Morley - sorry for interrupting your baking - and I asked how did it all started. Ann Marie went on to say, her boyfriend, Robert Hanley deserves all the credit. It started with one of the guys that Robert works with who brought “Bushy”, the big white shaggy dog, to their home as a joke. They came home one day and had a dog in their front yard. I remember seeing the dog last year in their front yard and had to do a double take because it looked real. The Pink Flamingo was given to Ann Marie and as she tells the story, the collection continues to grow, people leave them in odd places.
It also seems that I am not the only one who feels compelled to stop in and let them know how much joy it brings seeing the giant stuffed animals around the yard.

Thank you, Ann Marie and Robert, for bringing us, adults, back to a time in our childhood where a stuffed animal is all we needed!
