Vote YES for Safety, Vote YES for OHS Track & Field

I will vote YES this Thursday, August 16th for the OHS Track & Field.

My concern is a safety issue for the OHS Track & Field Athletes.   They do not have a field to practice; they use the OHS parking lot and driveway.   Last season there were incidents where kids almost got hit by cars during practice.

My daughter will start college in the fall, and I am thankful that her and her teammates did not get seriously injured.   I am sure it felt more like dodging cars then sprinting.   This by no means diminishes the fact that track & field athletes did incur physical injuries from practicing on the driveway and parking lot.  

No, my daughter will not benefit when the OHS Track & Field gets built.    Something needs to be done and the time is now.   Let's not wait for a serious accident to occur before making our decision to start building the track & field.

The opportunity to build it at a low cost is now.
