Tell us why you are running in 300 words or less:

I will be a strong advocate for the students, school district and taxpayers of Oxford. I have a unique perspective as a football and wrestling coach at OHS. We coach in season and condition our student-athletes year round. I spend twenty to thirty hours a week at OHS. I am there, I see it all. I see the amazing young people of Oxford pursue their education without knowing how much they are doing without. The job has not been finished at OHS. Facilities need to be added and upgraded. My sons have come up, K through 12, through every school in town, so I am familiar with the issues facing all of our schools. I will approach my position in a non-partisan way, but I am fiscally conservative. However, I will not agree to cut and reduce the extra-caricular and sports programs in Oxford. These programs positively affect and change the lives of our students incalculably. When money is tight, I will look to our union contracts with the teachers, administrators and custodians. Our children should not be short-changed. I believe in looking at the big picture. I cost/benefit analyize everything. These kids deserve the best. They will get it from me.
