CPV Towantic Power Plant Nearly Half Complete: Report
The controversial power plant sits on 26 acres in Oxford.

OXFORD, CT — The controversial CPV Towantic power plant in Oxford is 43 percent complete, according a vice president with Competitive Power Ventures, Inc., owners of the facility, reports the Waterbury Republican-American.
Priced at $1 billion, the facility will provide 785 megawatts of power and is slated to be completed sometime in final three months of 2018.
A host of area residents continue to oppose the project, and a lawsuit filed by the Town of Middlebury against it remains pending.
