Creating Jobs the Topic of Tonight's Discussion in Oxford

Event will be held at the 121 Restaurant.

The National Federation of Independent Business/Connecticut will continue its “Evenings With Entrepreneurs” meetings series with its next event today, Wednesday, Sept. 28, in Oxford, according to a news release from the organization.

The meeting will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the 121 Restaurant & Bar at the Waterbury-Oxford Airport, 7 Juliano Drive.

The theme of the meeting, which is open to all members and small business owners, will be “Building Business and Creating Jobs in Western Connecticut," and will feature Special Guest State Sen. Rob Kane, R-Watertown, who will attend to hear your concerns and to discuss legislation he sponsored to make Oxford Airport and the surrounding area an economic development zone, the release states.

State NFIB Director Andy Markowski will also update participants on the latest developments with NFIB/Connecticut, according to the release. This event is being sponsored by Connecticut Leadership Council Member Joanne Milburn of RJM Systems, Inc., in Southbury, as well as the 121 Restaurant & Bar in Oxford, along with other area businesses in Western Connecticut.
