D Batteries: Know Where to Find 'Em?

On Friday afternoon I went all over creation looking for D batteries. Why, you ask? Because most flashlights take D batteries, which, apparently everybody has prepared for except me. And if Irene is anywhere near as big and bad as they say she is, I'm gonna need at least a couple flashlights so I can see when she drops something in my path.

I went to Danbury, Brookfield, Newtown, Middlebury, Southbury, Naugatuck and Oxford looking for them and everybody says the same thing: "We sold out last night." And most of them say the same thing to my follow up question, "Do you expect to get any more in any time soon?" That answer is usually, "I have no idea." OK, then!

So, my question to you business owners, shoppers and everyone in between: Do you know how I, and everyone else who is undoubtedly encountering the same problem, can get some dang Ds?
