Dress Up the Tea Partiers

Oxford-based Herobuilders makes Tea Party candidate dolls, other political action figures.

People who have ever wondered what they would say at a one-on-one, sit down lunch with the person who could be the next president of the United States just might have that opportunity.

Well, almost.

Thanks to an Oxford toymaker, anyone with 40 bucks can bring the female Tea Party presidential candidates to a real a tea party at their homes. And now, thanks to some changes Emil Vicale has made to his toys, they can dress the politicos however they want, too!

Vicale, the owner of Herobuilers.com, has created action figure dolls of right-winged, Tea Party conservative women, including former vice presidential candidate and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, U.S. Rep. Kristi Noem, R-South Dakota, and a person who has been all over the news recently as she’s kicked off her presidential campaign, U.S. Rep. Michelle Bachmann, R-Minnesota.

The figurines can be found on Herobuilders under a headline that reads: "Republicans Never Looked So Good." Each sells for $39.95 and purchasers can pick an outfit, such as a special necklace or seven different pairs of earrings. They can have their dolls wear something as conservative as a pant suit (if they dare dress Republicans like Hillary Clinton), or digs as provocative as a school girl outfit a la Britney Spears circa 1999 or an X-raider costume.

Vicale’s Herobuilders has made political action figures of several political figures and pop culture icons, including President Barack Obama in military fatigues - made after the assassination of terrorist ; former with shorts that said “Tweet This;” and the Balloon Boy’s dad (remember that genius?).

Vicale, who says he’s trying to make adults laugh, also has some serious figurines, including personalized heroic action figures for real-life military soldiers.

Oh, and who can forget, (as we’ve raved about before on Oxford Patch), buyers can “Jersey Shore” themselves with figurines of their heads on the tanned, chiseled and/or voluptuous bodies of one of the popular MTV show’s characters. Now who doesn’t want that?
