Twitchell Rowland Homestead Open Museum Tours

The Twitchell Rowland Homestead Museum will be open for docent-led tours on Sunday, June 3, from 2 - 4 p.m.  The newly restored museum features artifacts from Oxford's past, including a collection of milk bottles from the dairies that once dotted the Oxford landscape, an 1880's butter churn and a collection of early maps of the town.  Of special interest is a newly donated Currier and Ives print "Hiawatha's Wedding", on display for the first time.  Visitors may also tour the museum garden in front of the 1755 saltbox.  Admission is free, and the museum store will be open.
