Press Release
Craig Zacarelli of Broken Fence Photography is a photographer with a wide variety of skills and interests, Craig loves shooting everything from animals and nature to still-life and landscapes.
Craig realized how much he enjoyed photography in 2004, while on his honeymoon trip to the Everglades of South Florida. The up-close, personal experience of the unique surroundings and wildlife was exciting and inspiring. He felt compelled to capture every moment with his new camera.

In the spring of 2007, Craig completed a course in Creative Photography with pro photographer, Tony Sweet. He then entered the Milford Fine Arts Council Photo Contest, where two of the three photos he entered won second place awards in their respective categories. Since then, Craig has published his photos both online and in-print. His photos and services have been purchased for advertising and for press/promotional use by local recording artists such as Beau Badrick and rapper, Picasso. Two of his photos were also picked to be used as labels of Jones Soda bottles!
Before moving to Oxford, Craig and his wife spent a year on the Board of Directors for a busy animal shelter in North Haven, CT. “During that period, he was given the opportunity to use his talent to benefit needy animals. He took many photos of adoptive cats and dogs for the shelter’s website and print adoption campaigns. Being a part of the effort to find homes for these animals was one of his most rewarding experiences as a photographer.”

Craig, his wife, two dogs and two cats moved to Oxford in April, 2010, from Wallingford. “We love it here. It’s pretty peaceful and inspiring with all of its undeveloped natural treasures to photograph and enjoy. I hope Oxford will expand its green spaces and attract more wildlife in the years to come so that I can show others just how lucky we are to live in such a rare, undeveloped area of CT through my photographs."
The Exhibit is open for viewing through November 30th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Monday through Thursday and until 7 p.m. every Monday and Thursday evenings in the Meeting room at Oxford Town Hall 486 Oxford Road, Oxford.
