Editor's Note: The following news release was submitted by the Oxford Cultural Arts Commission.

The Oxford Cultural Arts Commission is pleased to announce plans for its Annual Gallery of Art Showcase scheduled for the weekend of Friday, Sept. 23 through Sunday Sept. 25, in the meeting room at the Stephen B. Church Memorial Town Hall in Oxford. The event includes a “Meet the Artist” opening reception on Friday evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and an art showcase for viewing from Sept. 24 to Sept. 25 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This year will be a juried show open to all visual media. Submitting artists can be professional or amateur. This is an open showcase of art juried by a panel of three jurors who will select the art to be shown and award over $1,000 in cash and prizes.  The art works chosen will be exhibited on kiosks and the gallery walls for the weekend only.
