UPDATE: Recount Reveals Winner in Oxford Planning and Zoning Race

The Secretary of State's office now has all of the final numbers for all of Oxford races.

UPDATE: Today a recount of the Planning and Zoning Commision race took place and Glen Persson won by 15 votes over incument chairman Tanya Carver. Persson and Carver are both Republicans.

Carver initially held a one vote lead on election night over Persson but that changed after Monday’s recount. 

Original post: On Election Nigh, GOP First Selectman George R. Temple won re-election along with Selectman Jeffrey J. Haney Sr. Kathy Johnson will be the third selectman.

There will be one recount for a Planning and Zoning Commission seat.

The top vote getters were both Republicans, Tax Collector Sharon Lee Scinto, 2,823 votes and Michael F. Angelini Sr. with 2,763 votes.
