Oxford's Nine Mile Players to Hold Auditions
Community theater group will present "You Can't Stop The Beat, From Broadway to Hollywood!"

Oxford's community theatre group, The Nine Mile Players, is proud to announce auditions for its spring musical production of You Can't Stop The Beat, From Broadway to Hollywood!
Auditions will be held at the Oxford Grange at 482 Oxford Road on Thursday April 12, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 14, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. You Can't Stop The Beat, From Broadway to Hollywood! is a showstopping musical revue celebrating some of the best songs from classic Broadway musicals that have been highlighted on the silver screen. This musical extravaganza takes audiences on an uplifting, feet stomping, hair raising journey through Hollywood with an energetic cast of local performers. The play features music from such classics as Rent, Hairspray, Little Shop of Horrors, Chicago and The Wedding Singer, amongst others.
The Nine Mile Players are bringing Broadway to your very own backyard in Oxford! All roles are open and will feature a cast of up to 20 actors, singers and dancers. All ages (10 plus) and types of people are encouraged to audition! Please prepare at least one song, 32 bars in length. A pianist will be available. Actors should be prepared to learn a short dance combination.
