Oxford Town Hall Work Underway

Officials said Town Hall remains open, but residents are encouraged to use temporary parking or pay taxes online, by mail or phone.

OXFORD, CT β€” Oxford officials are asking residents to use temporary parking or remote payment options while the Town Hall parking lot is replaced during tax season.

First Selectman George Temple said the parking lot project is expected to be completed early next week. Town Hall remains open, but visitors are being directed to temporary parking areas shown on a map released by the town, including parking near Kirk’s Pond.

Officials said residents who are visiting Town Hall to pay taxes may also pay online, by mail or by phone.

Taxes are due July 1, but payments received or postmarked by Monday, Aug. 3, 2026, will not incur interest under Connecticut law, according to the town.

Residents can pay online through the town website or at MyTaxBill.net/Oxford. Convenience fees apply, including 2.5 percent for credit cards, with a $2 minimum; a $3.95 flat fee for debit cards; and a $2 flat fee for electronic checks.

Residents can also mail payments to the town’s lockbox during July and January at Town of Oxford – Dept. 3960, P.O. Box 4110, Woburn, MA 01888-4110.

Payments may also be mailed directly to the Oxford Tax Collector at 486 Oxford Road, Oxford, CT 06478.

For help making an online payment, residents may call 877-495-2729 and stay on the line for assistance from a Point & Pay agent, according to the town.

Officials said anyone who needs assistance or has difficulty walking should call Town Hall in advance. A staff member can meet the resident in the designated parking area to collect payment and mail a receipt.

The town thanked residents for their patience during the work and credited the Cultural Arts Commission for creating the temporary parking map.
