Rare 'Zedonk' (Zebra/Donkey) Born at Area Farm [VIDEO]
The baby zedonk is brown all over, with the exception of her black and white striped legs.
WOODBURY - When a female zebra gets together with a male donkey and has a beautiful baby, that baby is called a zedonk.
If the baby were born to a donkey mom and a zebra dad, the baby would be called a zonkey — not to be confused with the assorted other hybrid names for the hybrid animal: zebrass, zebrula, zebrinny, zebronkey, zebonkey and zebadonk.
A zedonk was born at the end of July, at Highwire Deer & Animal Farm, 68 Park Rd., Woodbury.

Owner John Hardisty said he raised Sassy the zebra, now 8, since she was 21 days old.
"She had a friend named Earl come visit her for the last three summers and
they finally figured out why they were together last year," he said.
