Oxford officials are baffled at why the popular restaurant hasn't reopened.

The curious case of what is happening with Rolando’s Restaurant, a popular Italian eatery in town, has everyone baffled including top Oxford officials, the Waterbury Republican-American reports.
For weeks a sign on the 143 Oxford Road eatery said the business was closed for vacation, but now that sign is gone and the business remains closed, the paper reports.
Town officials say they have no idea what is happening with the property, which now has overgrown shrubbery.

This summer Brennan’s Shebeen Irish Bar and Grill opened, and may have affected businesses, but Rolando’s was often packed anyway, the Connecticut Post reported earlier this summer.
