Police are investigating, and families may notice extra officers, but officials stress there's no immediate threat while they await an all-clear. 
• Trio stole from gas station, then crashed into Plainfield home while fleeing, police say (ctinsider.com) — Plainfield police say three people were arrested after allegedly stealing from a Norwich Road gas station, fleeing at high speed, and crashing into a Packerville Road home, prompting a building inspector's review. During the search for a fourth suspect, Plainfield Central Middle and Memorial schools briefly went into secure mode out of caution before normal operations resumed.
