• Trio stole from gas station, then crashed into Plainfield home while fleeing, police say (ctpost.com) — A gas station theft on Norwich Road led to a high-speed getaway that ended when the suspects’ car crashed into a Plainfield home on Packerville Road, briefly putting two Plainfield schools into secure mode. Three people from Sterling and Norwich were arrested, while a fourth suspect has been identified and faces pending charges. Town officials say the home sustained only minor structural damage.
