β’ Paulhus says the town will be more proactive next year with pool opening (newbritainherald.com) β Plainvilleβs town manager says officials will start work much earlier to ensure the Norton Park pool opens on time in 2027, after this yearβs season was delayed by hard-to-find parts and unexpected grate repairs. Maintenance is now targeted to begin between March 15 and April 15, giving staff extra time to spot issues and avoid another June postponement.

β’ Scoops for Troops, Plainville FD place US flags to honor anniversary of 9/11 (newbritainherald.com) β Plainville residents can see a powerful 9/11 remembrance at the firehouse, where Scoops for Troops and the Plainville Fire Department placed thousands of American flags, including 343 arranged as the Twin Towers. Town officials and organizers say the display honors every life lost and has drawn heartfelt appreciation from the community for keeping the 25th anniversary from being forgotten.
