• Connecticut trick-pitch star returns home as Banana Ball comes back to Hartford (thehour.com) — Redding’s own trick-pitch specialist Clark Gilmore is back in Connecticut, set to pitch Saturday at Hartford’s Dunkin’ Park in the Banana Ball Championship League series. The Joel Barlow graduate, now with the Indianapolis Clowns, is relishing performing his behind-the-back pitches before hometown family, friends, and fellow Nutmeggers after training and spending recent weeks back in Redding and Fairfield County.
