$5 Million Micro-Grant Program Available For Some Small CT Businesses
Organizations in Fairfield, Litchfield and New Haven Counties, with fewer than 100 employees, may apply for funding up to $25,000.
CONNECTICUT — In the wake of the historic storm that recently hit Western Connecticut, the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development has created a micro-grant program for small businesses and non-profits impacted by the flooding.
Organizations in Fairfield, Litchfield and New Haven Counties, with fewer than 100 employees, may apply for funding up to $25,000 to help defray recovery costs, including those associated with cleanup efforts, replenishing lost inventory, and replacing equipment.
Applications open on Tuesday, Sept. 3 and will be accepted on a rolling basis until funds are exhausted.
The non-profit Women's Business Development Council is administering the grants on behalf of the state.
