Anthony McMahon Receives Police Officer Of The Year Award From The Exchange Club Of Ridgefield

The annual Ridgefield Police Department awards ceremony was held at the Lounsbury House on Wednesday, June 4. This year's recipient of the prestigious Police Officer of the Year (POY) Award is Officer Anthony McMahon who was also promoted to Sergeant. Congratulations, Anthony!!! The recipient is selected by the Police Department based on the recipient's outstanding performance. The POY Award concept was created years ago by the National Exchange Club for communities across the nation as part of its initiative for supporting the police. First Selectman Rudy Marconi and Sharon Dornfeld, Chairperson of the Police Board, and Ridgefield Police Chief Jeff Kreitz all spoke of Anthony's accomplishments and honored his POY award. Nick Percival of the Exchange Club of Ridgefield presented the award.
