World-renowned vibraphonist and marimba player Arthur Lipner will take the stage at RTB, performing a mixed repertoire on solo vibes and marimba in a concert setting. He will also share stories from his experiences on the road, showcase his extensive global collection of tambourines, and read selections from his recently released book of poetry and short stories, Vibes in Verse. Think 'Garrison Keillor meets keyboard percussion.'

Arthur Lipner specializes in vibes, marimba and steel pans. He has appeared on over 60 albums and presented 300+ workshops on six continents, teaching at some of the world’s most prestigious schools including Juilliard and the Royal College of Music. Lipner's compositions and albums are considered important stepping stones in furthering the literature and musical settings for his instruments.
Arthur has written numerous method books and compositions/arrangements which have become standard works in percussion. He has many credits as an active NYC session player for a variety of media. Lipner is the main character in the documentary TALKING STICKS. Arthur has toured overseas nearly 100 times, from China to Russia, Iceland to New Zealand.
